The County Clerk-Recorder Division provides older records of Coroner’s reports from 1878 through 2000, viewable by microfilm.

By Mail

Mailed requests must be accompanied by a written request that includes name of decedent and month, day and year of death. Please call the Clerk Division at 650.363.4500 x 6063 for copy fees, as fees may vary.

If these methods are not an option, the clerk can search the record for a fee (coroner report search fee) and requestors will be contacted upon availability of information.
