On August 1, 2022, the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office will launch a new software application for Notary Public Oath and Bond Filing(s). The new application process requires customers to complete the Notarial Record Card at the County Clerk computer workstations.


In Person

Bring the following items with you:

  • Original Notary Public bond
  • Original Commission
  • Two completed but unsigned oath of office forms
  • Applicants must physically present a valid government-issued photo ID.
  • Filing Fee of $42
By Mail

Mail the following items:

  • Two original completed, signed and notarized Oath of Office forms. 
  • The Notary Public who administered the oath must complete the “For Persons Filing by Mail” section.
  • Original Bond
  • Copy of the Commission
  • Cover letter with your name and address
  • Filing Fee of $42

Be sure to submit your oath of office and notary bond within 30 calendar days of your commission’s starting date. The recorded bond will be returned to you by mail within six (6) to eight (8) weeks.
