A notary public is a public official who performs valuable services to the legal, business, financial and real estate communities by certifying or witnessing signatures on official documents. The Clerk Division of San Mateo County does not offer notary public services.

San Mateo County Clerk-Recorder does offer three services for notary public officials: Notary Public Oath and Bond, Notary Signature Verification and Notary Journal Return.
