may register and apply for a ballot by completing a Federal Post Card Application form (“FPCA”).

The FPCA form is available at your local U.S. Embassy or at the Federal Voting Assistance Program website at www.fvap.gov.  You may also go to the California Secretary of State’s website at www.registertovote.ca.gov to register as a military or overseas voter.

When you register, you will decide whether you would like to receive your ballot by email, fax or postal mail.

“Our office understands the challenges that affect voters living abroad.  We promptly respond to requests from military and overseas voters to ensure that they are able to register to vote and cast a ballot,” Church explained.

The deadline to register to vote in this election is April 20.  Registered overseas voters may submit an overseas ballot application up to and including Election Day.  Military and overseas ballot applications submitted after April 28 should request their ballot via email or fax to ensure time for its return.
