(Redwood City, CA) Mark Church, Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder of San Mateo County, announced that the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division has mailed the ballots today to registered voters in Millbrae City Council Districts 2 and 4 for the July 23, 2024 City of Millbrae Special Recall Election. The mailing also includes the Voter Information Pamphlet for this election.

The Registration & Elections Division office at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo will function as a Vote Center for in-person voting from June 24 through Election Day.  Please note that the Tower Road Vote Center will be closed on July 4, 2024.

The David J. Chetcuti Community Room at 450 Poplar Avenue in Millbrae will be a Vote Center for in-person voting from July 20 through Election Day.

Hours of operation for voting beginning on Monday, June 24, 2024, are as follows:

  • Registration & Elections Division, 40 Tower Road, San Mateo, CA 94402
    • Weekdays, June 24 through July 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • 7 days a week, beginning July 13 through July 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Tuesday, July 23 (Election Day), from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • David J. Chetcuti Community Room, 450 Poplar Avenue, Millbrae 94030
    • Daily, July 20 through July 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Tuesday, July 23 (Election Day) from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Two outside Official Ballot Drop Boxes are accessible to voters starting from Monday, June 24, 2024, until Election Day, July 23, 2024, at 8 p.m. (PST):

  • Millbrae City Hall, 621 Magnolia Avenue, Millbrae 94030
  • Registration & Elections Division, 40 Tower Road, San Mateo 94402

Vote by Mail Ballot Status
Voters are encouraged to check the status of their ballot online with the following tools:

  1. Where’s My Ballot?” enables voters to track their ballot from the time it is sent until it is received and counted. Sign up at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov. Please note that alerts for ballots returned to the Official Drop Boxes may not be sent on the same day the ballot is deposited. 
  2. Go to “My Election Info” on smcacre.gov to confirm when the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division received and accepted your voted ballot.

 To be accepted, mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day, July 23, 2024, and received no later than Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

 Voters needing a replacement Vote by Mail ballot should request it by July 16, 2024, to ensure their ballot arrives on or before Election Day.

 Voters can confirm their current voter registration status and view their Voter Information Pamphlet online in either PDF or screen-readable, accessible format by visiting smcacre.gov and clicking on “My Election Info” button.

Voting Period Begins on Monday, June 24, 2024, and ends on Tuesday, Election Day, July 23, 2024.
